When your organization has a policy of a HIPAA-type kind, Claude Code no longer shows the usage breakdown. HIPAA is a US health-data privacy law. In place of the breakdown you see this message: "Not shown under your organization's policy: this breakdown is built by scanning the session transcripts saved on this machine." A session transcript is the saved record of a conversation. The previous build reported a failed status here.
Why
If you work at a regulated organization and the breakdown is missing, this message explains why. The breakdown depends on reading saved conversations, and your organization's policy does not allow that.
