What
When Claude Code highlights part of a line of text in its terminal display, it now passes more styles through to the screen. Previously a highlight could only carry:
a text colour
dimmed text
underline
It can now also carry:
a background colour
bold
italic
strikethrough (a line through the text)
Why
Highlights can now look more distinct, because styles that were dropped before are shown.
