What
Claude Code can check whether the GitHub app is installed. It now skips that check when you are not using Anthropic's own service, for example when you reach Claude through Amazon Bedrock or Google Vertex AI. In that case the check reports the app as not installed and reports access to your linked account as "inconclusive". A remote setting controls this skip.
Why
If you use Bedrock, Vertex or another outside provider, Claude Code no longer looks up the GitHub app using a login meant for Anthropic's own service.
