When transcript syncing is paused, Claude Code saves a short record saying why. Those records can now hold two more reasons:

  • account_off: syncing is off for the account
  • account_read_only: syncing is read-only for the account

A record can also carry an account choice of on, read_only or off. Before, the only reasons kept were a plain pause, the shape of the session, and the server having syncing switched off.

This points to a setting at the account level that decides whether this sync feature is on, off or read-only.
