A cloud session can say it is running in auto mode or bypassPermissions mode, which are modes where Claude approves many actions without asking. Sometimes your own computer checks a permission for that session in a different mode instead. When that happens, the permission prompt now includes an explanation:
- If your computer is not accepting auto mode from cloud sessions right now, the prompt says so.
- If your computer could not tell which mode the session is in, the prompt says that.
When the edit was allowed through acceptEdits mode, no note is added. Before, the prompt showed only the hook's text or the plain permission message.
