What
Some hooks (commands that run at set moments) ask Claude to judge something, using a prompt or an agent. Some cloud sessions run with no disk. In those sessions, these hooks no longer receive a path to the conversation transcript. They are told there is no transcript file to read and to ignore transcript_path in the hook input.
The background refresh of the file index is also skipped in these sessions.
Why
