In vim mode, J joins the next line onto the current one, and visual J joins the selected lines. Several details changed:
- only leading spaces, tabs and carriage returns are removed from the joined line
- no space is added before a line that starts with
)
- no space is added after a line that ends in a tab
- a count of 3 or more with
J on the last line, or a visual join on the last line, now moves the cursor and records the change instead of doing nothing
Why
If you edit prompts with vim keys, joins now match what vim itself does.
