Several details changed:\n\n- only leading spaces, tabs and carriage returns are removed from the joined line\n\n- no space is added before a line that starts with `)`\n\n- no space is added after a line that ends in a tab\n\n- a count of 3 or more with `J` on the last line, or a visual join on the last line, now moves the cursor and records the change instead of doing nothing\n\n**Why**\n\nIf you edit prompts with vim keys, joins now match what vim itself does.\n\n- Area: Terminal UI\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 1\/5"}
