What
The information Claude Code reports about a remote session (a session viewed or run from somewhere other than your own terminal) now carries running totals whenever the cost changes:
cumulative_cost_usd, the total spend so far in US dollars
total input tokens (tokens are the small chunks of text the model reads and writes)
total output tokens
total tokens read from the cache
total tokens written to the cache
Why
This lets a remote or web view of a session show how much the session is spending as it happens.
