What
In a cloud session (a Claude Code session running on a remote machine rather than your own computer), your local files are synced up to that machine. Sometimes Claude has already created files there before your upload finishes. In that case:
- Your files replace the ones Claude created.
- Claude's copies are moved to the cloud session's trash rather than deleted outright.
- Claude is told that this happened.
- You see a notice saying your files arrived after Claude had created its own and replaced them.
The sync also now marks paths whose transfer was interrupted as deferred, meaning they are left to be handled later.
Why
A clash between your files and Claude's is now reported instead of being overwritten without a word, and Claude's work is kept in the trash in case you need it back.
