What
Claude Code downloads a published plugin catalog along with a signature file used to check it. These downloads can now ask caches along the way to skip stored copies, on both the catalog and the signature file. Before, only the catalog request carried a cache hint, and a weaker one.
Why
If the signature does not match, an outdated copy held by a cache can be bypassed.
