What
When Claude Code previews an artifact (a page Claude builds for you), it scans the page for elements whose content spills outside their box. That scan now leaves out several cases that are not real problems:
- form controls: text inputs, text areas, drop-downs and their options, progress bars and meters
- elements 2 pixels or smaller
- tiny clipped elements that are visually hidden on purpose
- text that is deliberately cut off after a set number of lines
The amount of vertical overflow it allows now grows with the font size. Before, the scan flagged any element that overflowed by more than 3 pixels vertically without scrolling, and only skipped elements with no size at all.
Why
Previews give fewer spurious overflow warnings, so the ones that remain are more likely to point at a real layout problem.
