What
Claude Code has new code to accept organization policy limits that another app has already fetched, when that app is the one that started Claude Code. Policy limits are rules an organization sets on how Claude Code may be used. Before accepting them, the code checks that:
- the organization and login match
- the server they came from matches
- the data is recent
- the data can be read
- the data carries no sign that information was lost
Nothing in Claude Code calls this code, so no app can hand over its policy limits this way yet.
Why
In the future this could let an app that starts Claude Code spare it from fetching policy limits again at startup. It is not active now.
