Policy limits are rules an organization sets on how Claude Code may be used. Before accepting them, the code checks that:\n\n- the organization and login match\n\n- the server they came from matches\n\n- the data is recent\n\n- the data can be read\n\n- the data carries no sign that information was lost\n\nNothing in Claude Code calls this code, so no app can hand over its policy limits this way yet.\n\n**Why**\n\nIn the future this could let an app that starts Claude Code spare it from fetching policy limits again at startup.
