Claude Code sends some information about the environment it runs in along with its usage and diagnostic data. That information now includes three more fields:

  • version, a version number
  • versionBase, the version it is based on
  • buildTime, when it was built
Why

Crash reports and usage data can now be tied to an exact build, which helps when working out which builds a problem affects.
