When Claude publishes an artifact with more files than one publish allows, the error is different. It now says that nothing was published, tells the model to split the files across several publishes to the same address, and states the total allowed per version. The old message only said the version was over its limit and to publish fewer files.
Why
The number of files in a single publish and the total files in a version are now separate limits, so a large artifact can be built up over several publishes instead of being cut down.
