Claude Code has a key binding, chat:sendNow, that sends your message straight away when you press Enter while holding a modifier key. The task list has a matching action that sends a task off and opens it.
Whether these are offered used to depend on a fixed list of terminal names. It now depends on whether your terminal is detected as able to send extended key combinations:
under tmux or screen, they are not offered
in Windows Terminal, they need the kitty keyboard protocol, a way for terminals to report more key combinations, to be confirmed
Why
The shortcut and its hint stop appearing in terminals that cannot actually send the modified key press, where pressing it would not work.
