A machine can be linked to a session so Claude works through it. When that machine's Claude Code has not connected, Claude receives a tool result, which is text a tool sends back to the model. It now refers to "The user's computer" instead of "A machine is bound to this session". It also tells Claude: "Ask the user to check that Claude is running on that computer."
