What
A new way to work with cloud sessions (Claude Code sessions that run on remote machines instead of your computer) has been added under the name cloud_headless_bare. It has two parts:
- Create: starts a new cloud session from a prompt. Without a prompt it stops with "Error: a cloud session needs a prompt". The session is not tied to your device, your local folder is not copied up, and the session is archived when it is closed.
- Attach: joins an existing cloud session. It refuses, each time with its own error message, if the session is archived, will not start, is busy answering, or is waiting on a question.
Why
This gives a lighter way to hand a prompt to a cloud session, or connect to one, without syncing your files. The attach errors say plainly why a session cannot be joined right now.
