Claude Code tries to recognise when you are working on an iOS or Xcode project. It does this by looking at its tool calls, the individual actions Claude takes such as editing a file or running a command. Detection now gathers evidence from all of them:
All written and edited content, including replacement text in edits, weighted by file extension.
Shell commands, now parsed by a dedicated helper as well as a pattern match.
Every tool result, meaning the output that comes back from each action.
Before, it stopped as soon as it found the first piece of evidence.
Why
The judgement about whether a session involves iOS work now rests on everything the session did, not on whichever clue happened to come first.
