What
Claude Code checks whether it can reach the internet by sending a small request to http://1.1.1.1. When that check fails, Claude Code treats the internet as unreachable. The error is now written to the debug log, a file of detailed messages for troubleshooting, instead of being thrown away.
Why
If Claude Code decides you are offline, the debug log now shows what went wrong with the check.
