Claude Code has an internal helper that runs git to work out diffs, which are the differences between versions of files. It also finds the merge-base, the commit two branches last had in common. The helper now takes an objectGraph option that defaults to pinned. Merge-base lookups use as_is instead.
The helper also now runs the git program it has located on your machine, rather than one at a fixed path.
