What
In auto mode, an automated check called a classifier decides on permission requests. When that check falls back to a billed classifier on the server, Claude Code shows a notice. The notice has changed in several ways:
- If the turn has already been stopped, the dialog returns "interrupt" at once, and while it is open it also listens for the turn being stopped.
- The
tengu_auto_mode_server_fallback_noticetelemetry event gains ansdkHostfield. - Whether the dialog is skipped now depends on whether Claude Code is running inside an SDK host, meaning another program that runs Claude Code through the SDK.
- The matching warning printed in headless mode (running without the interactive screen) now has one more condition before it appears.
Why
If you stop a turn, this notice no longer sits waiting for an answer. Programs that run Claude Code through the SDK may see this notice at different times than before.
Something disagreesSomething we can check disagrees with this entry, or the writer said they could not settle it.
The writer flagged doubt
The finding does not say whether SDK hosts now see the dialog or skip it, or what the extra headless condition checks.
