Claude Code includes built-in guidance about its settings. That guidance now explains how to hide all attribution, which is the credit Claude Code adds to commits and pull requests. Set commit and pr to "" and sessionUrl to false.
It also warns against writing "attribution": false. Use the object form instead, because older Claude Code versions reject true or false there and then skip the whole settings file.
Why
If a settings file is shared with a machine running an older version, a boolean here makes that version ignore every other setting in the file. The object form avoids that.
