If Claude Code shows a notice that your API key is missing or invalid, and another running Claude Code process then changes your saved login, the key is checked again. If the new login is valid, the session (your current conversation with Claude Code) switches to it.
Why
Fixing your login in one window now also fixes a session that was stuck on the login notice in another window, without restarting it.
