What
The composer now has consumeIdeSelection and restoreIdeSelectionConsumedBy, which capture the current IDE selection at the moment a prompt is sent and can put that selection back if that same prompt is later restored, for example via undo or edit-and-resubmit. This restoration is also wired into the rate-limit prompt hand-back flow (where a prefilled prompt is handed back to the user) through a new onPromptHandedBack callback.
Why
Before this, a prompt tied to a specific piece of selected code in your editor could lose that connection once the prompt was handed back or resubmitted, forcing you to reselect it. Now the original selection reappears along with the prompt.
