Unclear The category currently has no settings in it, so its practical effect for users isn't yet visible.
What
- The settings UI's list of categories (Display, Input & controls, Connections, Advanced, Experimental, Internal, etc.) gains a new 'Plugins' category. It starts out empty of built-in setting ids and is meant to be populated dynamically for plugin-specific (dotted) setting ids.
- The set of recognized permission-mode choices used elsewhere in the settings UI grows from two options (Allowed, Not allowed) to four, adding 'Switch automatically' and 'Ask each time'.
Why
This lays groundwork for plugins to expose their own settings in a dedicated place, and gives permission-related settings finer-grained choices than a simple allow/deny toggle.
Names in the bundlePlugins

A small documentation edit on Manage plugins and connectors touched a line naming Plugins after this was published.
A plugin you upload on the **Plugins** card delivers its skills, slash commands, sub-agents, and hooks to members, and its hooks run on the member's machine. A plugin can also declare [MCP servers](/docs/connectors/overview) of its own, an…government/config/plugins-and-connectors see the edit
