DisclaimerUnofficial, and not affiliated with Anthropic. Nearly all of this is read straight out of what ships: npm bundles, captured prompts, published docs. Anthropic's own notes go in verbatim, marked as theirs. The rest is my reading, and every entry carries the strings behind it. If one looks wrong, vote it down and say why.

Claude Code v2.1.186

VS Code Clipboard Warning for Non-ASCII Text

Claude Code now detects when VS Code 1.123/1.124 would corrupt non-ASCII characters pasted via OSC 52 clipboard integration, and displays a warning.

Details
  • Checks for the known mojibake bug in those specific VS Code versions.
  • If the clipboard content contains non-ASCII characters and the OSC 52 bug is present, displays: "VS Code 1.123/1.124 will mojibake this paste — update to ≥1.125".
  • No action needed once you update VS Code.
Evidence

New clipboard warning function (search for "VS Code 1.123/1.124 will mojibake this paste")

Strings lifted out of the shipped bundle, so the claim above can be checked against them.
