5858To find a channel, use the search field on the **Channels** tab. It matches channel names and channel IDs (pasting a channel link copied from Slack also works), and searching a workspace's name shows that workspace's channels.
5959
60In a channel shared across more than one workspace in your Enterprise Grid, bundles on the channel or its workspace don't apply. See [Channels shared across workspaces in your Enterprise Grid](/docs/claude-tag/admins/restrict-access#channels-shared-across-workspaces-in-your-enterprise-grid) for what Claude does there instead.
60Sharing a channel changes which bundles apply there:
61
62* **Shared across workspaces in your Enterprise Grid**: bundles on the channel or its workspace don't apply. See [Channels shared across workspaces in your Enterprise Grid](/docs/claude-tag/admins/restrict-access#channels-shared-across-workspaces-in-your-enterprise-grid) for what Claude does there instead.
63* **Shared with another company through Slack Connect**: once Claude is [turned on in the channel](/docs/claude-tag/admins/restrict-access#slack-connect-channels), bundles attached directly to the channel apply there, including ones you attached before the channel was shared. Claude can use their connectors for the other company's people in the channel too. [What access Claude has in a Slack Connect channel](/docs/claude-tag/admins/restrict-access#what-access-claude-has-in-a-slack-connect-channel) covers which bundles reach that channel and which don't.

6265<Warning>A bundle attached to a public channel grants its access to anyone who joins that channel. In most Slack workspaces, anyone can join a public channel, so the channel's join policy becomes the effective access control for whatever the bundle grants. Keep elevated credentials in private channels.</Warning>

241241When Claude answers in a Slack Connect channel, it follows the channel's own instructions and has:
242242
243* No [bundles](/docs/claude-tag/admins/attach-to-scope) or connections, except a bundle an Owner [attaches directly to the channel](/docs/claude-tag/admins/attach-to-scope#attach-to-a-channel) after it's shared with the other company, or one attached specifically for Slack Connect channels. A bundle attached before the channel was shared, or by someone who isn't an Owner, doesn't reach it until an Owner removes it from the channel and attaches it again.
243* No [bundles](/docs/claude-tag/admins/attach-to-scope) or connections inherited from the workspace or the **Slack** page, and none attached by a [channel rule](/docs/claude-tag/admins/attach-to-scope#attach-a-bundle-to-channels-by-name), except a bundle attached specifically for Slack Connect channels. A bundle [attached directly to the channel](/docs/claude-tag/admins/attach-to-scope#attach-to-a-channel) still applies, whether it was attached before or after the channel was shared and whoever attached it, unless it's set to apply only in channels with guests. Claude can use the connectors in that bundle for anyone it answers there, including the other company's people.
244244* No instructions set on the workspace or on the **Slack** page.
245245* No memory, skills, or repositories.
246246* No [environment set on the scope](/docs/claude-tag/admins/customize#configure-the-environment-for-a-scope). The session runs on the standard environment.
247247
248Treat the channel's instructions as visible to the other company. In a Slack Connect channel, Claude also doesn't search your workspace, look up people or channels, read other channels, publish [artifacts](/docs/claude-tag/concepts/security-and-data#artifact-visibility), or set up [routines](/docs/claude-tag/users/proactivity). Routines set up in the channel before it was shared don't run there.
248Treat the channel's instructions, and the connectors in its bundles, as available to the other company. Before you turn Claude on in a Slack Connect channel, or share a channel where it's already on, check the bundles on the channel's page and [remove the channel from any bundle](/docs/claude-tag/admins/attach-to-scope#choose-where-a-bundle-applies) you don't want used there.

91912. Keep the channel private. Access on a public channel [reaches anyone who joins](/docs/claude-tag/admins/attach-to-scope#attach-to-a-channel).
92923. Open the channel from the **Channels** tab under **Claude's access** at [`claude.ai/admin-settings/claude-tag`](https://claude.ai/admin-settings/claude-tag) and check its **Claude's access** table. It lists the access that reaches the channel, and an item a bundle brings is listed under that bundle's row. The **Inheritance** column shows whether each bundle, and each item outside a bundle, was added on the channel's page or inherited from the workspace or from **Slack**.

94Connector credentials reach a channel shared with another company through [Slack Connect](/docs/claude-tag/admins/restrict-access#slack-connect-channels) only through a bundle an Owner attaches directly to that channel after it's shared, or one attached specifically for Slack Connect channels. Claude can then use those credentials for anyone it answers there, including the other company's people. No other credential reaches it: not a bundle attached before the channel was shared or by someone who isn't an Owner, not one inherited from the workspace or the **Slack** page, and not members' [personal connectors](/docs/claude-tag/concepts/personal-connectors).
94In a channel shared with another company through [Slack Connect](/docs/claude-tag/admins/restrict-access#slack-connect-channels), once Claude is turned on there, it has the connector credentials from the [bundles attached directly to that channel](/docs/claude-tag/admins/restrict-access#what-access-claude-has-in-a-slack-connect-channel), including bundles attached before the channel was shared. It also has those from any bundle attached specifically for Slack Connect channels, and it can use them for anyone it answers there, including the other company's people. Credentials inherited from the workspace or the **Slack** page don't reach that channel, and neither do members' [personal connectors](/docs/claude-tag/concepts/personal-connectors). Before you share a channel that already has bundles, check its **Claude's access** table and [remove the channel from any bundle](/docs/claude-tag/admins/attach-to-scope#choose-where-a-bundle-applies) you don't want used for the other company's people.

9696When you ask Claude in one channel to post into another, Claude works with the access and instructions of the channel you asked in, not the target channel's. From a private channel, Claude doesn't post anywhere else, and nothing asked elsewhere makes Claude post into a private channel. [What Claude can do in other channels](/docs/claude-tag/concepts/how-it-works#what-claude-can-do-in-other-channels) covers where Claude can post from each place you ask.
