A new category of hooks that are registered internally by Claude Code, distinct from user-configured and plugin hooks.

Details
  • Shown separately in the hooks viewer as "Built-in Hooks" / "Built-in hooks (registered internally by Claude Code)"
  • Cannot be modified by users—they are part of the Claude Code runtime
  • Visible in the /hooks UI for transparency
