What

Control how much effort Claude puts into responses during a session.

Usage
claude --effort medium
claude --effort high
Details
  • Valid levels: low, medium, high
  • The max level exists but is restricted:
  • Not available in interactive mode
  • Not available for Claude.ai subscribers
  • Use high for complex analysis, low for quick tasks
