What

Before Claude Code works in a repository (a project folder tracked by git), it may ask whether you trust it. In remote cloud sessions there is a new message for this question, repository_trust.prompt.answer_elsewhere. It is shown from two places in the interface.

  • The new message includes a link and says: "A yes given here would not count, because an answer sent from here cannot prove which device it came from." It asks you to answer on a trusted device instead.
  • The existing repository_trust.prompt.not_shown_here message, which said the question "cannot be shown in full on this terminal", drops the words "on this terminal".

Why

If you see this message in a remote session, typing yes in the terminal will not approve the repository. You need to open the link and answer from a trusted device.
