What
A heap dump is a snapshot of the memory Claude Code is using, taken to diagnose problems such as memory leaks. When a session was started by a launcher (another program that starts Claude Code for you), Claude Code now refuses to take one. It returns an error saying heap dumps are unavailable in a launcher-started session.
Why
This limits a diagnostic tool. If you start Claude Code through a launcher and need a heap dump, you will have to start a session another way.
