What
The client Claude Code uses to reach Claude through Google Cloud has three changes:
- It now reports its platform as
google-cloud.
- It works out its server address only when a workspace is set, for example through
ANTHROPIC_GOOGLE_CLOUD_WORKSPACE_ID.
- The "No workspace ID found" error now appears when a request is sent. Before, it appeared as soon as the client was created.
Why
The client can now be set up without a workspace ID. If the ID is missing, you see the error later, when Claude Code first tries to send a request.
