Unclear What the new check tests, and so which users now see the guidance, is not known.

What

The Agent tool lets Claude hand work to helper agents, which are separate copies of Claude with their own job. Part of its instructions says Do not spawn agents unless the user asks. That guidance, and a related note about running agents at the same time, used to be shown to people on the Pro plan. They are now shown based on a different check instead of the plan. The part of the instructions that explains when to use agents has also been reorganised.

The stock Agent tool description captured under this release is the same as the one captured under v2.1.306.

Why

This changes which people get the instruction discouraging Claude from starting helper agents on its own.
