What
Usage credits let you keep working after you hit a usage limit, and /usage-credits is the command for them. This release adds support for promotional offers on those credits:
Claude Code can now ask the server whether an offer is available, including when you have hit your limit, and turn the answer into labels for the menu, a hint and a small banner. It requires allow_promo_offers and sits behind a server-controlled switch, tengu_starry_waterfall. Nothing has been read about that switch.
Offers come in two kinds, "at least {pct}% off" and "extra credit", with a hint pointing to /usage-credits.
The old fixed list of preset amounts, which showed "Save N%", is replaced by an offer-aware screen.
The custom-amount screen shows a live preview of any extra-credit bonus or discount. Before, it only showed "Buys ... of usage credits".
The confirm screen shows "You pay" next to the credit amount.
A note explains why a bonus or discount was not applied.
If prices change while the dialog is open, nothing is charged, and you see "Prices changed while this was open, so nothing was charged. Run /usage-credits again to see the current prices."
Why
When buying credits you may now see offers and a clearer statement of what you will pay. You will not be charged at a price that changed after you opened the dialog.
