What
A skill is a packaged set of instructions Claude can use. Skills in the managed folder, set up by an administrator, are now checked before they load. A skill is refused when:
- its SKILL.md file is missing
- its SKILL.md could have been changed by the account the session runs as
- its folder holds too many entries or goes too deep
- its folder holds a link to another folder
Managed instructions that the session itself could have written are marked as unverified. Claude is told to keep to their limits and not to treat anything in them as permission.
