What
When you start a remote session (Claude Code running in the cloud), the setup screen now shows whether setup came from a saved snapshot of an earlier setup. Before, it only showed "Setting up remote session" or "Resuming remote session". It can now show:
"Started from saved setup", with the date of the snapshot and roughly how much time was skipped
" · saving so your next session skips this", when this setup is being saved for next time
" · couldn't use saved setup", when restoring failed
"Remote session ready in … · restored saved setup" when finished
Setup steps that fail can now show their output lines.
Why
You can see whether a remote session started quickly from a saved setup or did the full setup, and why.
