Unclear What a "press" is, and so what a plugin can do with these events, is not stated.
What
Claude Code can fill text into your prompt box on request, for example from a plugin or a remote client. This release adds a new value, called answersPress, to that path:
prompt.fillnow passesanswersPressthrough when it writes the text into the prompt box. Before, only the text, mode and decorations were passed.- The prompt-fill message sent to remote clients now includes
answersPress. - Suggest-prompt requests can carry an optional
answers_pressfield. - Plugins, which are add-on packages for Claude Code, get two new function-hook events:
plugin_function_hooks_press_drawnandplugin_function_hooks_press_fill. A hook is code that runs at a set point. - A new control slot,
resumeUntrackedAgent, starts empty. - A defaults object gains
envOnboardingturned on. Which feature it belongs to was not traced.
Why
These are mostly groundwork for plugins and remote clients. Nothing here is described as changing what you see yet.
