What

When a new login fails validation, Claude Code tries to put back the sign-in details you had before. If that restore does not succeed, it now prints a message to the error output, the terminal stream used for warnings and errors.

Why

You find out right away that your previous sign-in was lost, instead of discovering it later when you are unexpectedly signed out.
