What
When Claude Code checks paths you attach or add, it used to return one plain list of paths. It now sorts each path into one of three kinds:
- a folder
- a special file, such as a socket or a named pipe (files that programs use to pass data to each other, not to store it)
- anything else
It then reports the paths that are not folders and the special files as two separate lists.
Why
Special files can now be reported apart from ordinary files.
