What
When you select text and copy it, Claude Code shows a short pop-up confirmation. Before, it only had a full message, such as one saying the text was copied to the tmux buffer. tmux is a program that runs several terminals in one window.
The confirmation now also carries a shorter text, for example:
"copied 12 chars"
"copied · paste with prefix + ]"
"sent N chars via OSC 52" (OSC 52 is a way for a terminal to place text on your clipboard)
The short text is left out when there is a warning to show, or when there is no short version.
Why
The copy confirmation can now appear compactly on the first row of the prompt instead of taking more room.
