What
When you start or resume a cloud session, Claude Code shows a progress screen. A cloud session is one that runs on a remote machine instead of your own computer. Before, that screen always said "Setting up remote session…" or "Resuming remote session…", whatever happened.
Now, if a step fails:
The heading changes to "Cloud session didn't start" or "Cloud session didn't resume", without the trailing dots.
The hint line changes to "Send a message to try again."
The step that was running or waiting is marked as failed.
Why
Before, a failed cloud session left a heading that looked like it was still working and never finished. Now you can see that it stopped and what to do next.
