Unclear It is not stated what supplies these ready-made cards, so it is unclear when a reader would see one.
What
A permission prompt is the question Claude Code asks before using a tool, and the card is the content that prompt displays. A prompt can now be given a ready-made card along with the request. When one is supplied, Claude Code uses it, and the tool name it carries, instead of the card the tool normally provides.
Cards are now also built when the request carries no reason for asking, as well as for safety checks and other reasons. Before, a card was built only for safety-check and other reasons.
Why
This lets something other than the tool itself, such as a server or the program hosting Claude Code, supply what a permission prompt shows.
