What
Managed settings are rules an organization's administrator sets for everyone. Some cloud sessions, which run on a remote machine instead of your own computer, take their managed settings from the organization. In those sessions, a managed settings file on the machine may now only add restrictions:
A key that would loosen policy is dropped.
A warning is shown saying "In a cloud session that takes its managed settings from your organization, a managed settings file may only restrict".
Plugins that are held back and lists of allowed plugin marketplaces are tracked.
Why
In organization-managed cloud sessions, a settings file on the machine cannot override the organization's policy to allow more than it permits.
