Unclear Whether the first-row layout is switched on for everyone, or only under some setting, is not shown.
What
The footer is the strip of hints under the box where you type. It can now place one hint on its first row:
- The footer takes a
row1HintId. Withtimed, a timed notification sits on row 1 and other notifications do not stack up. Withvoice, the voice indicator sits there and the footer's mode stays visible. These are passed on astoastOnRow1andvoiceOnRow1. - One row-1 hint is chosen from: exit confirmation, paste, voice listening, a timed notification, expand paste, copy selection (ctrl+c) and a parked permission prompt.
- The agents hint now drops its resting " for agents" text once that has expired, and shows nothing when agents are not available.
- The status line handles terminals with no colour.
Before, the voice indicator replaced the whole footer while recording or processing.
Why
If you use voice input or see notifications, the footer may look different, with more of it staying visible.
