What
When Claude Code works out which git branch you are on, it now also checks that the branch really exists. In a brand new repository with no commits yet, git names a branch that does not exist until the first commit. Claude Code now treats that as no branch instead of reporting the name.
Why
The parts of Claude Code that show or use your git details may show no branch in a fresh repository until you make your first commit.
