Unclear It is not clear what the affected check does, so what a reader would notice if the switch were turned on is unknown.
What
Claude Code now reads a new switch whose value comes from Anthropic's servers. It defaults to off when the server sends nothing. When it is on, it changes how an existing check behaves in two places:
- In one place, the check stops early and returns its starting value unchanged.
- In the other, the check's result is reversed.
Why
With the switch at its default of off, these code paths behave as before. Any difference would only appear if the switch were turned on remotely.
