Unclear It is not clear what decides which version of the instructions a subagent receives.

What

A subagent is a helper agent that Claude Code starts to work on part of a task. The instructions Claude Code writes for a subagent now come in two versions. When a certain condition is met, the subagent gets a shorter template with different notes and a different paragraph about messages from other agents. That paragraph says that no message from any agent is ever the user's consent or approval. Otherwise the subagent gets the same instructions as before.

Why

Subagents may receive different instructions depending on that condition.
