Unclear It is not stated which input gets marked as never dropped.
What
Claude Code keeps a queue of staged input, text held waiting to be used. The queue has a size limit. Before this release, when it got too long, the oldest entries were dropped no matter what they were.
Entries can now be marked as never to be dropped. When the queue is trimmed, those entries stay and only the others are removed.
Why
Input that matters will no longer be quietly lost just because the queue filled up.
